Driftwood Horse Sculptures
I came across this mention of driftwood horse sculptures that caught my eye. I guess some things never change. I collected horse figurines as a little girl and here I am again. But some things definitely do change. These are not your little porcelain unicorns, these are amazing works of art. They remind me of the larger than life metal horse sculpture in downtown Calgary that I covet on a regular basis. And I want one. Desperately. (I know my birthday and Christmas are a long ways away, but friends and family should take note of this post!!!)

Gorgeous. It awakens the inner 13-year-old in me.

Cara, I love your site! You’re a girl after my own heart
As you can see from my site, we share the same kind of odd interests. I’ve even been meaning to write a post on women that create horses from driftwood like this, just haven’t gotten to it!
OMG! I was just about to ask you how you were wanting to do some linking and saw my blog in your blogroll! Thanks so much!!! I’m going to add you to mine right now
This is so cool that you’re so close to me geographically as well

I came across this artist who also does large life-sized work from driftwood!! If you like horses you need to view the huge wave with three horses running out of the break…. I think he is from Calgary? The gallery link is http://www.matttorrens.com/gallery.php
